About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to join our team in Yerevan. This role is ideal for someone who is highly skilled in both modern and classic WordPress development. You’ll work on a variety of client projects, translating Figma designs into fully dynamic, editable WordPress themes. You should be comfortable using page builders like Elementor, Divi, and WP Bakery when appropriate—but also experienced in building custom themes using Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), PHP, and WordPress’ native APIs. A deep understanding of the WordPress template hierarchy, custom post types, performance optimization, and caching mechanisms is required.

This is an on-site role at our Yerevan office. Work hours will follow the local Armenia time zone.

While not required, candidates with design skills are strongly preferred. If you’re able to take a rough concept and turn it into a polished layout—and then build it—you’ll stand out.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain custom WordPress themes using ACF and WordPress APIs
• Convert Figma designs into pixel-perfect, editable WordPress themes
• Use page builders like Elementor, Divi, and WP Bakery as needed
• Write clean, well-structured code in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Create and manage custom post types, taxonomies, and flexible content layouts
• Optimize WordPress sites for speed and performance using advanced caching techniques
• Work in local environments using WP Local and migrate sites between servers
• Perform routine WordPress core, plugin, and theme updates
• Collaborate with other developers, designers, and project managers
• Use Git for version control and maintain organized task flow in Jira
• Track hours and log timesheets accurately with clear notes

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional WordPress development experience
• Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Deep understanding of WordPress’ template hierarchy and structure
• Advanced experience with ACF and custom theme development
• Experience with WP Local and site migration workflows
• Strong grasp of caching, performance optimization, and scalability
• Experience working with Git, Jira, and Slack for team collaboration
• Highly organized with consistent time tracking and task documentation
• Based in Yerevan and available for in-office work during standard business hours

Nice to Have

• Design sensibility or the ability to create layouts from scratch
• WooCommerce experience
• Familiarity with headless WordPress architecture (e.g., Next.js, Gatsby)
• Experience with managed hosting platforms like WP Engine, Kinsta, or Cloudways
